The Swiss Toxicological Information Centre (STIC) ist now almost 50 years old. In the expectation of the anniversary in 2016 and a successful future the STIC is presenting itself with a new corporate design and a new name. From January 1st, 2015, we are:
Tox Info Suisse
The new name is easily comprehensible in all national languages as well as in English, and stands for:
Tox: it is dealing with poisoning
Info: we give information rapidly and in a competent manner
Suisse: for entire Switzerland
With a modern public appearance and many more activities we are going to increase publicity of our institution and its emergency hotline number 145. Our aim is to facilitate access to our services for the general public, medical professionals and manufacturers if they have questions regarding acute toxicity or poisoning prevention.
The 24hour availability of our hotline remains unchanged: We stay ready for you, continuously, uninterruptedly with the free emergency hotline 145 when problems or questions with poisoning occur.
