Research
The focus of our clinical toxicology research group is to investigate the acute toxicity of drugs, including addictive substances and natural poisons in humans through different research methods and mainly observational studies. We also investigate acute poisoning with plants and fungi, chemicals of all kinds and other noxious substances.
We work in close collaboration with the network of Poison Centers in Germany and Austria through the Society of Clinical Toxicology (GfKT) and the The European Association of Poison Centres and Clinical Toxicologists (EAPCCT), with the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Zurich, and with other national and international university hospitals and academic institutions.

We offer and supervise master theses for medical and pharmacy students, and M.D. theses.
